The Crises and Disasters Team at the Sharjah Charity Charity intensifies its meetings to monitor developments in weather conditions

Sharjah, 26 March / WAM / The Crises and Disasters Team at the Sharjah Charitable Society continues to hold its daily meetings on a regular basis as part of a careful and continuous follow-up of field conditions related to the rainy season, as part of a proactive plan aimed at rapid response and providing the necessary support to affected individuals in the event of any emergency.
Ali Mohammed Al Rashidi, head of the Crises and Disasters Team at the Society, explained that the team’s daily meetings deal with reviewing the latest developments and evaluating field conditions in real time, noting that the team has raised the level of preparedness in anticipation of any developments and that prior coordination has been made with a number of specialized agencies to provide food meals when needed, in addition to directing the Logistics Management Team to prepare blankets and basic requirements that can be used in emergency situations in a way that ensures rapid intervention and reduces the burden on those affected.
He pointed out that the daily meetings also include following up coordination with the shelter centers in cooperation with the competent authorities in anticipation of any circumstances, stressing that these measures come within the framework of joint work with the concerned authorities to ensure the safety and stability of individuals.
On the health front, Al Rashidi explained that the association is monitoring the readiness of the medical teams and those in charge of the Sharjah Charitable Society’s charitable medical center in Khor Fakkan to deal with any emergency health cases that may result from weather conditions, in a way that enhances the readiness of the charitable health sector in the face of such conditions.
He stressed that the Crises and Disasters Team at the Sharjah Charitable Society is concerned with accelerating the provision of humanitarian support immediately after any harm to people occurs as a result of heavy rains that may turn into torrential torrential rains, similar to what some areas witnessed during the winters in past years, stressing that the Society is keen to carry out its societal and charitable responsibility and places them at the top of its priorities and works according to clear plans to ensure the speed of response and the efficiency of intervention through its charitable means when needed.
