Beirut Airport receives the 23rd relief plane loaded with 35 tons of medical aid

Beirut International Airport received the 23rd UAE relief plane, as part of the “The UAE is with you, Lebanon” campaign, with a load weighing 35 tons of medical aid, which included basic medicines, modern and advanced devices and equipment, and medical supplies designated to support hospitals and health centers in various parts of the sisterly Republic of Lebanon.

This additional medical aid comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, and the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation, as the State of The UAE is committed to providing all necessary humanitarian support to alleviate the current difficult conditions facing our Lebanese brothers, due to the current crisis, especially in the health care sector.

In this regard, His Excellency Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Vice President of the Emirates International Aid Agency, stressed that the UAE will continue its pioneering global role to mitigate the repercussions of the humanitarian crisis that the region is witnessing and the brotherly Lebanese people are suffering from, especially in the health, social and economic aspects, which constitutes a challenge that hinders… Providing medical services in a manner commensurate with the increasing pressure on the health sector in general, and the availability of basic medicines and the use of modern devices and equipment necessary for efficient treatment in particular.

His Excellency added that relief plane No. 23 arrived at Beirut International Airport, as part of an extended series of UAE aid by air and sea to the brotherly Lebanese people, and the state will continue its relief role with unlimited support from the wise leadership, to provide all forms of assistance and extend a helping hand to brotherly and friendly countries on various continents. The world, in the face of various emergencies, crises, wars and conflicts, noting the close cooperation between the concerned authorities in the UAE and the Republic of Lebanon. Sister, to ensure the delivery of aid to those who deserve it, including the affected, sick and injured, in coordination with international relief organizations.
