El Gouna Film Festival announces the dates of its eighth session

The El Gouna Film Festival announced that its eighth session will be held in the city of El Gouna from October 16 to 24, 2025.

 

The new session will be launched based on the success of the seventh edition, which included More than 80 films from 40 countries competed for prizes worth more than $230,000, in addition to 21 distinguished projects in the development and post-production stages that received awards. Prizes worth $400,000 at Cine Gouna to support film production. In addition to holding 20 discussion panels, 9 specialized lectures, and a number of workshops within the framework of the Cine Gouna Forum. Activities focusing on the film industry also moved to the Festival Plaza, which turned into a dynamic center for everything related to the industry, and included the CineGouna Market, in which more than 20 exhibitors participated.

 

The eighth session of the El Gouna Film Festival will continue to invest in the festival’s legacy that it presented during previous sessions, while providing a richer experience for filmmakers and the film-loving public, in order to strengthen the film industry in Egypt and the Arab region and connect it to the film community. Global.
