Davos, 22nd January / WAM / Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum “Davos”, stressed the importance of cooperation in facing the rapid transformations witnessed in the transition from the industrial era to the era of artificial intelligence, pointing out that this transformation provides tremendous opportunities to overcome current challenges and launch a renaissance era. A new development characterized by progress in the fields of knowledge, health, culture and social well-being.
This came during his speech during the activities of the 55th session of the World Economic Forum for the year 2025, yesterday, during which he called on the global community to show “constructive optimism,” and urged all sectors, including governments, companies, civil society, and academia, to come together to formulate solutions to common challenges.
Schwab added that by embracing constructive optimism and belief in the collective potential to improve the state of the world, the Age of Intelligence can be made one in which every human being realizes their full potential.
For his part, Borg Brende, President of the World Economic Forum, stressed that the world stands at a decisive turning point, noting that the year 2025 will be a year full of results.

The international order that prevailed over the past three decades has declined and we must find more effective ways of cooperation because it is the only way forward, Brende said.
During the dialogue sessions and speeches of leaders at “Davos 2025,” Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, reviewed Europe’s plan to adapt to the era of intense geostrategic competition, stressing the need to increase competitiveness, strengthen global partnerships, and commit to sustainable development.
She pointed out that Europe needs to change the pace of its work to ensure its growth during the next quarter of the century, adding that new opportunities must be sought wherever they are, and this is the time for openness and Europe is ready for change.
For his part, German Chancellor Olaf Schulz stressed the importance of renewing commitment to security and prosperity to confront global challenges, adding that partnerships are the engine of successful economic development.
In turn, Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Deng Xioxiang warned of division in the global economic system, stressing the importance of strengthening international cooperation in scientific and technological innovation to ensure fair progress for all.
For his part, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stressed his country’s commitment to developing research and development centers in the high-technology sector, which strengthens Vietnam’s position as a regional center for manufacturing and technological development.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa also reviewed the goals of his country’s presidency of the G20 for the year 2025, with a focus on solidarity, equality and sustainable development.
