cooperation "Dubai International Financial" and"Lloyd’s" To develop insurance sector talent

DUBAI, 22nd JANUARY / WAM / The DIFC Academy signed a memorandum of understanding with Lloyd’s, the global insurance market that provides specialized insurance services to companies in more than 200 countries and regions around the world to develop future talent in the field of insurance and reinsurance.
This agreement builds on the long-standing partnership between the two sides, which aims to expand the scope of Lloyd’s Academy, the educational platform for risk professionals that was developed from London, to help support the development of the pool of talent and competencies in the rapidly growing Middle East region.
Under the agreement, the DIFC Academy and Lloyd’s Academy will collaborate to organize a series of educational events and training activities, in addition to the ability to benefit from an on-demand learning experience to support efforts to attract talent throughout the insurance sector.
Alia Al Zarouni, Chief Operating Officer of the Dubai International Financial Center Authority, said: “The Dubai International Financial Center provides the necessary educational environment and guidance in accordance with the highest international standards from prestigious institutions to accelerate the development and refinement of talent within the sector, and we are following this approach and continuing to build on this legacy by enhancing Our current relationship with Lloyd’s.
She added that this initiative will enable the DIFC Authority to continue developing this thriving sector in the center, which represents more than 125 companies, and we will work together to enhance the growth of the sector in a way that contributes to shaping the future of the financial sector.
For her part, Dawn Miller, Chief Commercial Officer of Lloyd’s and CEO of Lloyd’s in the Americas, said that cooperation and concluding qualitative partnerships come within the framework of providing added value and activating meaningful partnerships at the core of what Lloyd’s offers, and our market has withstood the test of time thanks to Talented individuals and companies participate in it, and the Memorandum of Understanding between Lloyd’s Academy and the Dubai International Financial Center works to advance talent development and education at the sector level, and is another step in this direction.
