The organizing committee of the UAE Challenge for Tactical Teams confirmed its full readiness to start the activities at the organizational and field levels with the start of the influx of teams participating in the challenge, whose prizes reach 260 thousand US dollars, while the challenge activities will witness a live daily broadcast of all its events on the Dubai Sports TV and Emirates Channels. , and social media platforms for the challenge, in addition to the presence of news broadcasts and transmissions through the media missions accompanying the participating teams.

This came during a press conference held by the Organizing Committee of the UAE Challenge for Tactical Teams at the Dubai Police Officers Club, in the presence of Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the UAE Challenge for Tactical Teams Brigadier General Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, and Director of the General Department of Security of Bodies, Facilities and Emergency, Brigadier General Musabih. The second edition in 2020 had 46 teams, while the number of teams in the first edition, which coincided with the global launch of the challenge in 2019, was 61. A team.

He stated that the international teams participating in the challenge will take on five challenges: “Tactical Operations Challenge,” “Attack Challenge,” “Officer Rescue Competition,” “High Tower Challenge,” and “Crossing Obstacles,” noting that each competition requires… Each team follows tactical methods, physical fitness, and high skill abilities in order to collect points on a daily basis, as the three winning teams in first place will be crowned daily, and on the final day, the winning teams with the overall total will be crowned. He pointed out that the challenge aims to increase the space for exchanging experiences between the participating tactical teams, and to provide the opportunity to learn about the latest international practices in the field of work of rapid intervention unit teams, and to measure the extent of efficiency and readiness in dealing with various challenges.

Arbitration readiness
In turn, Major Jamal Al Zaabi explained that there are 33 specialized referees ready to arbitrate the challenge events and they have experience in the fields of rapid intervention and special police operations, noting that they have undergone specialized training courses in this type of tournaments, and have previously participated in arbitration in eight local tournaments and five.
