ADNOC Professional League..leading “Sharqawiya”

Sharjah regained the lead in the ADNOC Professional Football League, 24 hours after losing it to Shabab Al-Ahly, with an outside victory over Al-Wasl with a free goal, in the 13th round.
“The King” raised its score to 34 points, two points ahead of Shabab Al-Ahly, while Al-Wasl remained at 17 points in seventh place, taking a new step away from competing for the title.
Sharjah started the match in the best way possible, and its attempts to score the initiative did not take long, as after only 16 minutes, it was able to gain the advantage in the score thanks to its player Caio Lucas, who followed a rebound from Al Wasl goalkeeper Khaled Al Sinani and shot it into the net.
Despite Al Wasl’s performance improving after the goal and their pressure in search of an equaliser, they were unable to reach Adel Al Hosani’s net, especially with the great opportunity that Jong Seonghyun missed after receiving a cross while facing the goal and diving it with his head over the crossbar.
Ali Saleh Al-Wasl revived after coming on as a substitute in the second half of the match, so the “Emperor’s” attacking attempts were focused on the left side, and the home team almost achieved an equalizer with Adama Diallo’s shot, which Shaheen Abdel-Rahman intervened and sent away to a corner kick.
The Sharjah goalkeeper returned to deprive Al Wasl of a draw on another occasion after making a solo save from Adama Diallo, which was then removed by the defense.
But Al-Wasl’s ambitions to return to the match began to diminish, with Sofiane Pofentini receiving a red card, after a rough tackle on Caio Lucas.
Sharjah took advantage of the situation to its advantage and participated positively on the offensive side, when Caio Lux manipulated the home team’s defence, but goalkeeper Khaled Al-Sanani saved the situation by blocking the Sharjah striker’s shot.
Al-Sanani returned to shine again by blocking Firas Balarabi’s shot, which he fired from close range, and turned it into a corner kick, leaving the result of the first half unchanged.
In another match, Bani Yas achieved an important victory over Kalba, in its stadium and among its fans, with an unanswered goal, breaking a fast that lasted 123 days in which it did not taste the taste of victories during the 10 matches it played since last September 20, losing in seven confrontations and drawing in three.
“Al-Samawi” owes this victory to its Romanian defender Andre Burca, who scored the only goal of the match from a penalty kick, won by his teammate Markovic, after he was obstructed by Salem Rashid (38).
With this result, Baniyas took a big step away from the relegation struggle after raising its score to 12 points in 11th place, and Kalba’s score froze at 17 points in eighth place.
