71,510 citizens registered in the private sector on the Authority’s and “NAFES” systems

The General Pensions and Social Security Authority affirmed its strong commitment to strengthening integration and partnership efforts with the UAE Talent Competitiveness Council “NAFES” in order to ensure the delivery of government support to eligible citizens working in the private sector, noting that the joint efforts between the two sides at the level of electronic connectivity and the requirements for benefiting from Competitive support has contributed to the registration of about 71,510 citizens so far in the joint registries between the two sides.
According to the Authority’s statistics for the time period from October to December 2024, which coincided with the launch of the “Maashi” platform, the Authority was able, through the platform, to register about (11,095) insured persons and exchange their data with “Nafis.”
Due to the instant data exchange mechanism between the Authority and “Nafis”, subscribers registered in “Nafis” enjoy the benefits that the program allocates to citizens, which support its efforts to localize the private sector and encourage citizens to join it. To guarantee the insurance rights of participants in “Nafis”, the program requires employers’ commitment to register their employees. Insured Emiratis pay their monthly contributions on time.
Increasing competitive efficiency
The “Nafis” program comes as part of the government’s “50 Projects” to raise the competitive efficiency of Emirati cadres. The program encourages male and female citizens to seize job opportunities available in the private sector (including free zones, banks, financial and insurance sectors), which constitute a qualitative addition to the national economy. .
In this context, the Authority draws attention to the importance of following up the insured with their employers to pay the contributions owed to them on a monthly basis, as any interruption in the payment of contributions is reflected in “Nafis” through the link with the Pensions Authority, and directly leads to the cessation of support, and it can be verified. Employers’ commitment to pay the insured’s contributions by reviewing the subscription lists available on the “Maashi” platform, which the insured can review at any time through his personal account on the platform.
To ensure registration, employers can submit a registration request to the insured through the “Maashi” platform, and the insured employees receive a notification on the platform requesting approval for registration. In the event that certain actions are taken related to the end of service or other decisions, the insured can, based on financial or job information, On the platform, they make these decisions consciously and knowledgeably, in addition to tracking the service status and the path of requests submitted by the insured on the platform, which contributes to simplifying access to services and enhancing transparency and trust between the Authority and its customers.
