Registration has closed to participate in the Arila 60-foot sailboat race

Abu Dhabi, January 23, 2017 – Registration for participation in the Arila 60-foot sailboat race, organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, the day after tomorrow, Saturday, was closed today, Thursday, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region. .

The past few days have witnessed a large demand for registration through the club’s website, and it is expected that more than 90 loaders will compete for the valuable prizes that have been allocated, the most important of which are 3 cars that will be awarded to the first three places.
The race, which is the third round for the 60-foot class of bearings, will be held within the program of events organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, during the current season, which includes races for all classes of bearings.
The bearings are expected to sail 28 nautical miles towards the finish line in front of the flagpole on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, where the winning bearing crews will be crowned.
Saif Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Races and Sports Events at the Club, confirmed that the work team is implementing the plan to organize the race according to the arrangements required for each stage, starting from registration until the crowning of the winners, with the highest degree of efficiency to come out in the best way.
He said that the 60-foot bearing races attract large numbers of participants, and that the number of bearings that will compete in this challenge is expected to reach more than 90, each with 20 sailors on board.
