“A large and ambitious project.” Khalaf Al Habtoor announces his intention to invest in Lebanon as soon as the government is formed

Businessman Khalaf bin Ahmed Al Habtoor announced his intention to invest in a large and ambitious project in Lebanon after the election of General Joseph Aoun as President of the Lebanese Republic and the assignment of Judge Nawaf Salam to form the new government, adding that the project carries a vision to contribute to the economic renaissance and secure thousands of jobs, to be a real addition to supporting the economy. Lebanon and restoring confidence in it.
Al Habtoor wrote in a blog post today through his account on the “X” platform: “After the election of General Joseph Aoun as President of the Lebanese Republic and the assignment of Judge Nawaf Salam to form the government, our hopes are renewed that Lebanon has begun to move towards a new era of stability and prosperity, to restore hope to its people for a future worthy of its ancient history.” ».
He added, “As a lover of Lebanon, I believe that in every sign of hope is an opportunity to work and build. Therefore, I am pleased to announce my intention to invest in a large and ambitious project immediately after the formation of the new government. This project carries a vision to contribute to the economic renaissance and secure thousands of jobs, to be a real addition to supporting Lebanon’s economy and restoring confidence in it.”
Al Habtoor continued, “But we must be clear: any investment, whether from us or others, will depend primarily on the correct formation of this government.” There can be no place in the next government for any subordination, quotas, or presence of those who caused Lebanon’s devastation, the collapse of its economy, and the ignition of wars. This stage requires loyal leaders, a ministerial team of competencies and experiences, working sincerely to put Lebanon’s interest above all else.”
He said in his blog post, “Security and stability are the foundation of every renaissance, and these elements will not be achieved unless there is a strong and independent government capable of restoring the confidence of Lebanese, Arab and international investors.” Any leniency in formation or acceptance of dependency will only lead to the continuation of the crisis, and will close the doors of investment and renaissance for Lebanon and its people.”
Al Habtoor concluded by saying, “This is a pivotal moment and a golden opportunity to make Lebanon an attractive destination for investments, and open a new page of economic and social development. After everything it has been through, Lebanon deserves to live and advance its people. The responsibility today falls on the leaders to make the right decisions and build a government worthy of the aspirations of the Lebanese. Lebanon deserves life, and I call on everyone to work sincerely to achieve this dream and make it a tangible reality.”
