The opening witnessed a large official presence, with a number of senior officials and public figures participating.
The attendees inspected the pavilion of the Sultanate of Oman, the guest of honor of the session, which is held on a large area and presents Omani heritage and arts, accompanied by Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Omani Minister of Information, Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Omani Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture, and Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo.

Dr. expressed Ahmed Fouad Hanno expressed his pride in Egypt’s organization of this international cultural forum, which embodies its cultural leadership, and said: The Cairo International Book Fair does not only represent a global cultural event, but also reflects Egypt’s position as a bridge of communication between civilizations.
He added: This exhibition is a platform that combines thought and creativity, and confirms Egypt’s commitment to supporting culture as a means of achieving sustainable development and spreading the values of world peace.
He said: Egypt’s hosting of one of the most important creative cultural forums in the world embodies its keenness to invest culture in supporting human ties between multiple civilizations, affirming the importance of spreading global peace among the peoples of the world and multiculturalism, which places on us a great responsibility to exert more effort and develop services. offered by the exhibition, in order to perform this role optimally, and for this year’s session to be historic in the truest sense of the word, which is clearly evident through the innovative, creative ideas and visions witnessed by the exhibition that keep pace with the technological and digital developments that the world is witnessing. around us, and adapting it to serve our cultural goals and its importance in building humanity on the foundations of awareness and constructive awareness of national development challenges in multiple fields.”

He added: We are working to present an exceptional session this year by employing digital developments to support culture and provide a distinguished experience for participants and visitors.
The Egyptian Minister of Culture thanked everyone who contributed to organizing this great event, calling on everyone to enjoy the activities and events offered by the exhibition.

The session of the Cairo International Book Fair will continue until next February 5, and the “Sultanate of Oman” will be the guest of honor for this session, and the name of Dr. was chosen. Ahmed Mostajir, the Egyptian scholar and writer, is the character of the exhibition, and the name of the writer is Fatima Al-Madul, the character of the children’s book exhibition.

1,345 publishing houses from 80 countries, and 6,150 exhibitors of literary and intellectual publications, are participating in the exhibition. 80 countries are participating, representing the continents of the world, including more than 10 countries participating for the first time: Chile, Belgium, Congo, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria, and Belize. , Peru, Netherlands, Surname, Colombia, Vietnam, Tanzania, Singapore, and Bolivia.
The exhibition includes a rich cultural program that includes more than 600 diverse events.
