Before the Fed meeting… Trump requests an immediate cut in interest rates

US President Donald Trump on Thursday, in a speech he delivered online to a large number of business leaders participating in the World Economic Forum in Davos, requested “an immediate reduction in interest rates,” knowing that the Federal Reserve will meet on Tuesday with the expectation that it will keep interest rates unchanged.
Trump said: “With oil prices that will fall, I demand that interest rates be lowered immediately and in the same way, they must fall all over the world.”
