Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academy and Training Affairs, Brigadier General Badran Al Shamsi, said during a press conference held yesterday at the Officers Club in Al Jaddaf that the Dubai Police Academy celebrates every year the graduation of an elite group of sons and daughters of the nation, and contributes to supplying the local and Arab community with male and female graduates of the most efficient elements. He pointed out that one of the most important achievements that the Academy has begun to offer to specialists and officers around the world since last year is the Specialized Diploma in Police Innovation and International Leadership (PIL), pointing out that the number of members in its second edition this year is 54 members, representing 40 countries.
In turn, the Director of the Dubai Police Academy, Brigadier Dr. Sultan Al-Jamal, said that the academy is considered one of the most prominent educational and training edifices in the field of security and police in the region, pointing out that the total number of graduates of the academy since its establishment has reached 7,879 male and female graduates, of whom 3,115 hold bachelor’s degrees. 3,134 are from the Candidates Program, 586 are holders of master’s degrees, and 116 are holders of doctoral degrees, in addition to graduates of other academic programs.
He added that the Academy’s contributions are not limited to that, as its graduates, apart from police scientific courses, include more than 17,000 trainees affiliated with several local authorities, in addition to its contribution to qualifying and training 1,643 entrants into national service, stressing that the primary goal is to develop the human element, as it is the basic foundation for advancement. level of security services.
He continued that the academy provides its students with a challenging and stimulating educational environment, which enhances their ability to deal with various security challenges, whether at the level of traditional crimes or new crimes such as cyber and cross-border crimes.
