The construction and construction sector achieves remarkable growth

Dubai Municipality announced the achievement of distinguished results in the construction sector, as the requests for building permits during the first half of the year 2025 exceeded the 30,000 barrier, an increase of more than 20% compared to the same period last year.
The new construction spaces and licensed additions reached more than 5.5 million square meters, which are ready for implementation, at a time when July recorded a record number of more than a million square meters of new licensed areas.
The percentage of licensed spaces was distributed during the first half of 2025, to record multi -storey commercial and investment projects 45% of the licensed spaces, which reflects the increasing confidence in the business environment and investment opportunities in the emirate.
Residential villas also acquired 40% of the total licensed areas by more than 2 million square meters, while industrial and public buildings formed 15%.
