The Kingdom leads the transformation of the innovation economy with qualitative achievements

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah bin Amer Al -Sawah, affirmed the Kingdom’s continued approach to the transformation towards an innovative and sustainable economy based on artificial intelligence and innovation with the support and empowerment of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister -may God protect him -, Pointing out that the current economic transformations are an unprecedented opportunity to enhance international cooperation and build a comprehensive and sustainable future based on artificial intelligence to serve humanity.
He explained, during a dialogue session entitled “Economic Transformations in the Kingdom” within the activities of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in that success in a mixture of realistic optimism and focus on the basics.

Advanced digital structure

He stressed that the Kingdom established a sophisticated digital structure that contributed to attracting investments exceeding $ 10.6 billion in cloud computing by major international companies such as Amazon, Microsoft and Google.
He also pointed out that the Kingdom, with the support and empowerment of leadership, “may God bless her”, achieved qualitative leaps in enabling digital competencies within the vision of 2030, as the percentage of women’s participation in the technology sector increased from 7% to 35%, and the number of technology workers doubled to 381 thousand talented and talented.

Block the digital gap

The engineer added that the Kingdom seeks to fill the digital gap in the field of artificial intelligence by focusing on international cooperation and filling gaps in computing, data and algorithms.
He cited prominent successes such as the use of artificial intelligence in the health and energy sectors, as well as innovation in medical robots, which was crowned with the first heart transplant using robot.
