"Calds" Reveals innovative national capabilities for the first time in UMEX and SEMTEX

ABU DHABI, January 20, 2020 (WAM) – Caldis Holding Group, which specializes in developing and manufacturing defense products and is based in Abu Dhabi, revealed for the first time a group of its latest defense products developed and manufactured locally, as part of its participation in the activities of the seventh edition of the “UMEX and SimTEX 2026” exhibitions, which were launched today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center and are organized by the ADNEC Group in partnership with the Ministry of Defence, and will continue until January 22nd.

These products include vertical take-off and landing drones for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and logistics missions in support of unmanned air transport.

Caldis is also showcasing the unmanned ground vehicle “Cobra”, which is specially designed to provide exceptional flexibility in movement and a high ability to deal with and confront air and ground targets as it is equipped with air defense missiles, anti-armor missiles, a radar system and an optical system to detect, monitor, distinguish, track and deal with targets, with the possibility of using them in various operational and logistical tasks, in addition to “Spider Net”, which the vehicles are equipped with. To protect it against drone threats, especially suicide ones.

The group highlights its progress in the field of advanced manufacturing technologies for the production of subcomponents, parts and precision parts, in a step that strengthens its trend towards self-sufficiency in providing many basic components for its production lines, including its factories in the land and air sectors and missile systems.

This trend contributes to supporting the flexibility of supply chains, raising manufacturing readiness, and enhancing the sustainability of maintenance work and technical and logistical support in the long term.

The group also displays its leading defense products, including the modern B-100 aircraft, the “Shield” integrated anti-drone air defense system, and the multi-mission combat vehicle “MCAV” equipped with the “Spider Net” system.

During participation in the two exhibitions, Caldis will showcase its latest solutions designed to meet the requirements of modern missions, with a focus on platform integration, raising field readiness, and highlighting its capabilities in the fields of engineering development, integration, and manufacturing according to advanced operational standards, thus enhancing response efficiency and speed of decision-making in changing operational environments.

It aims to hold meetings with local and international partners and user entities to explore opportunities for industrial cooperation and expand partnerships, in line with the priorities of localizing technology, transferring knowledge, enhancing local content, and developing national competencies, leading to a more integrated, sustainable, advanced, and competitive defense manufacturing system at the regional and international levels.
