Dubai Chamber launches a group of holiday homes

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, announced the establishment of the Vacation Homes Business Group, with the aim of promoting the growth and development of the sector, and providing a unified platform that represents companies specialized in vacation home management and supports their interests.
The Chamber stated, in a statement, that the Dubai Holiday Homes Business Group will coordinate and cooperate regularly with government agencies and private sector companies, to discuss the reality of the sector, its opportunities and challenges, explore ways to develop policies, and support the growth of the holiday homes sector in the long term. The establishment of the group comes in light of the continuous growth witnessed by holiday homes in Dubai, as the number of companies specialized in the sector and registered as members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has reached 2,928 companies.
This growth came in light of the exceptional performance witnessed by the tourism sector in the emirate, as the number of international visitors attracted by Dubai continues to grow, which contributes to the high demand for holiday homes in all regions of the emirate.
Maha Al Gergawi, Vice President of the Business Community Interest Support Sector at Dubai Chambers, said: “The launch of the Holiday Homes Business Group represents a qualitative step to stimulate the sustainability and competitiveness of this vital sector, as it constitutes an effective platform for representing the interests of companies working in this field, and enhancing cooperation between the various parties concerned.”
She added: “This initiative comes within the framework of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s efforts to activate the role of business groups as a main link between the business community and decision makers, with the aim of developing a stimulating legislative and regulatory environment, exchanging best practices, and advancing innovation in all sectors.”
The group will work to submit proposals to develop regulatory policies, which will contribute to enhancing the sustainability of the sector’s growth in the long term. It will also focus on improving the sector’s professional standards and enhancing understanding of legal frameworks, which will contribute to consolidating Dubai’s attractiveness as a prestigious tourist destination globally.
Business groups are an essential pillar in ensuring the representation of various economic and commercial sectors in Dubai, as they play a vital role in facilitating dialogue between government agencies and private sector companies.
