Hana Sirwa Tita is appointed head of the United Nations Mission in Libya

Tité Abdullah Pateli (Senegal), who held the highest international position in Libya until May 2024. The Secretary -General expressed his gratitude for the leadership of Patelli and also to the representative of the Special Representative in Libya Stephanie Khoury, who led the mission during the transitional period.
Tité has held many high positions, including the special representative of the Secretary -General to the African Union, the head of the United Nations Office to the Union, and the Director General of the organization’s office in Nairobi.
Before joining the United Nations, Tité was a high -level member of the Council of Ministers in the Ghana government as she was Minister of Foreign Affairs between 2013 and 2017, and a member of the National Security Council and the Armed Forces Council.
Created The United Nations Support Mission in Libya According to a resolution of the UN Security Council, which cost it in accordance with the principles of national ownership, to exercise mediation and make good endeavors to achieve goals, including pushing a comprehensive political process for all parties and facilitating political negotiations to hold free, parliamentary, fair, transparent and comprehensive elections for all of Libya.
