More than 80,000 Kia cars have been recalled in America for this reason

Automaker Kia America announced the recall of more than 80,000 vehicles.
She indicated that the reason for this is ground wires under the front passenger seat that may be damaged and prevent the airbags and seat belts from working properly.

Damaged wires can also cause unintended side airbag deployment, according to documents provided to On Highways.
The recall covers 80,255 vehicles from model years 2023 to 2025.

To correct the situation, dealers will inspect, replace and reroute the ground wire harness, as needed, free of charge.
In addition, dealers will install wire covers and will notify owners via mailings in March.

Last December, America announced the recall of 22,883 vehicles.
This came then, according to a recall notice posted online by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
