المملكة: In detail: More than 25 national universities compete in the National History Laboratory

The activities of the “National History Laboratory”, organized by the King Abdulaziz Foundation, will begin tomorrow at the Conference and Exhibition Center at Princess Noura bint Abdul Rahman University in Riyadh.
More than 25 universities and 15 national entities participate, and the laboratory aims to involve male and female students in exploring and innovating creative solutions that enhance the preservation, documentation, and dissemination of national history using modern and innovative methods, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

National History Laboratory

The event seeks to enhance national identity and the values ​​of citizenship and belonging, by enabling participants to develop ideas, technical projects, and community initiatives that simplify access to cultural heritage and national history and make its content attractive and available to all groups.
The laboratory includes many accompanying activities, the most prominent of which are workshops and the accompanying exhibition. It also relies on two main tracks, the digital innovation track.
It focuses on employing advanced digital technologies to develop solutions that contribute to documenting and disseminating national history in modern and innovative ways.
As well as the social impact track, which is concerned with creating community initiatives that enhance society’s connection to national history through interactive means targeting different age groups.

20 speakers from the fields of innovation and heritage

The laboratory hosts 20 speakers from leaders in the fields of innovation and heritage, along with 13 judges to evaluate the projects submitted by the participants, and more than 20 facilitators to provide support and guidance to the participants during the stages of developing ideas and initiatives.
Through this unique event, Darat King Abdulaziz seeks to strengthen national identity and connect society with the Kingdom’s history and ancient heritage. It also aims to simplify historical content and make it available to all segments of society.
The laboratory aspires to build an interactive community of young people interested in national history, in a way that supports the Kingdom’s trend towards innovation in preserving the national heritage and documenting it for future generations.

The National History Laboratory invests in national talent and engages them in formulating innovative solutions that contribute to preserving the nation’s heritage.
This is an initiative that represents a qualitative step towards building a society that values ​​its ancient heritage and re-presents it in a contemporary spirit that addresses the aspirations of the future.
