Without loss of lives … an earthquake of 5.1 degrees hitting western Iran
An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck the city of Sherine Palace in Kermanshah Governorate adjacent to the Iraqi border in western Iran.
The depth of the earthquake and the size of the losses
The Iranian earthquake monitoring center stated in a statement that the earthquake occurred at four and 32 minutes at dawn (local time), at a depth of 8 kilometers.
“The earthquake has not yet resulted in life losses,” said the director of the crisis department in the Kermanshah Evachine Governorate, noting that the relief and rescue teams have been sent to the area to assess the situation.
