Medical Relief in Gaza: Formation of 6 medical points in preparation for the resumption of health services
Director of the Medical Relief Society in the Gaza Strip, Bassam Zaqout, said that 6 medical points have been formed to receive displaced Palestinians returning to Gaza City and the north, in addition to the formation of a number of medical points and health centers at the sector level, in addition to the return of a large number of cadres. The Director of Medical Relief in Gaza confirmed in an intervention with “Cairo” channel Al-Akhbariya reported on Monday that the health sector in Gaza suffers from a shortage of personnel and a weak ability to perform various surgical operations on thousands of wounded and sick people, and it needs equipment, operating rooms, anesthesia, equipment, and many buildings to replace those destroyed by the occupation until they are rebuilt.
He explained that there are great challenges facing the Palestinians, the most important of which are basic needs and shelter in light of the continued Israeli siege, the restoration of all services and necessities of life, reconstruction and facilities, in addition to Removal of rubble amounting to about 40 million tons.
