A “Federal National” committee discusses a project to amend some laws to enhance reproductive rates in the country

The Health and Environmental Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, during its virtual meeting held today, Monday, headed by Sumaya Abdullah Al -Suwaidi, Chairman of the Committee for this meeting, discussed a federal bill to amend some federal laws, and a draft report of the government’s policy regarding enhancing reproductive rates in the state.
The meeting was attended by members of the committee, two members of the Federal National Council, each of: Muhammad Hassan Al -Zahouri, the committee’s decision for this meeting, and Naama Abdullah Al -Sharhan.
According to the explanatory note received from the government on the draft law, that in light of the issuance of the decree of a federal law No. (28) of 2023, the establishment of the Emirates Drug Corporation, which entrusted the institution to exercise specializations related to fertilizer affairs, agricultural offices, veterinary preparations, and biological safety from genetically modified organisms, pesticides, The relevant amendment of the relevant federal laws has been proposed, so that the Emirates Drug Corporation is on the federal authority concerned with these laws, namely:
Federal Law No. (39) of 1992 regarding the production, import and circulation of fertilizers and agricultural dedication, Federal Law No. (9) of 2017 regarding veterinary preparations, Federal Law (9) of 2020 regarding biological safety from genetically modified organisms and their products, and Federal Law No. ( 10) For the year 2020 in pesticides.
The draft law consists of (4) articles that included the solutions of the Emirates Foundation for the drug in question that were mentioned in these laws, amending some definitions, ruling on cancellation, and the ruling on publishing and working the law.
During its meeting, the committee also reviewed the draft report of the government’s policy regarding the promotion of reproductive rates in the country, and discussed the outcomes of the discussion that was organized recently to involve the public on the subject and take their opinions and proposals, and reviewed the policies and legislations related to the work of women and the extent of the balance between work and family life Some countries experience the balance between practical and family life, awareness and education programs for enhancing the reproductive rate.
The committee discusses the issue of government policy regarding the promotion of reproductive rates in the country according to axes; The role of legislation in enhancing the reproductive rate in the country, state policies and strategies on enhancing reproductive rates, and the economic and social factors of the reproductive rate in the state.
