Adhere to the law… Advanced radars monitor the “hidden” and “noise” in Dubai

There are several traffic violations that drivers often commit intentionally when they think that the street is devoid of traffic patrols, believing that they are recorded only in the presence of police officers, unaware, according to sources who told “Emirates Al-Youm,” of the development of control techniques and radar devices capable of monitoring these violations.
The sources stated that the role of the radar is no longer limited to monitoring speed violations, or drivers who do not adhere to the mandatory lane, especially at the main intersections in the Emirate of Dubai, such as the exit leading to the Dubai Police General Command Tunnel for those arriving on Al Ittihad Road towards Dubai.
She pointed out that there are control devices that can currently monitor violations that were not technically recorded until recently, the most prominent of which is noise violations, as Dubai Police, in cooperation with its partners, developed a radar that can measure the level of sound, and fines people who intentionally cause disturbance, especially in residential areas.
Regarding whether the measure applies to cars that are naturally loud, such as sports vehicles that are manufactured with this feature, the sources stated that what matters is the driver’s behavior and not the sound of the car, because making noise depends on the method of driving, and the driver can control the sound of the car.
She added that there are at least two devices deployed in residential areas, including Al Khawaneej, that can monitor noise violations, stressing that it is necessary to be considerate of others while driving, as noise violations cause great harm to the residents of those areas, especially the sick, the elderly, and children, and there are drivers who do not take this into account. They cause disturbance late at night and show off the sounds of their vehicles in an unacceptable way.
According to Article 20 of the Traffic Law, a violation of driving a vehicle that causes noise is punishable by a fine of 2,000 dirhams and 12 traffic points, while Article 73 stipulates that the fine for a violation of making changes to the vehicle’s engine or chassis (chassis) without a license is 1,000 dirhams, 12 traffic points, and vehicle impoundment of 30. One day, which is the violation that often results in noise.
The sources revealed that among the violations that were detected by radar was “increasing the percentage of tinting of the vehicle’s windows beyond what was permitted,” especially the windshield, noting that some people are negligent in this procedure, believing that it is being violated in person, but the situation is different now in Dubai, so from It is necessary to adhere to the permissible degree of tinting, which is a percentage not exceeding 50%, in black and limited to the side and rear windows only, while it is legally prohibited to tint the windshield, heavy vehicles, or vehicles. The fare.
The sources confirmed that the aim of updating the control procedure in this aspect is to protect the driver and vehicle users in the first place, since increasing the percentage of concealment beyond the permissible degree obscures the view and exposes the safety of the vehicle’s passengers to danger.
The Traffic Law stipulates two violations regarding vehicle tinting: the first is exceeding the percentage of tinting the vehicle’s windows beyond what is permitted, and the second is tinting a vehicle that is not permitted to be tinted, and a fine for each of them is 1,500 dirhams.
