On behalf of the President of the State, Shakhboot Bin Nahyan heads the state delegation at the African Energy Summit

On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and the delegation of the UAE participating in the summit of African countries on energy, in the capital of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dar Al Salam, below The slogan “Africa Lighting: Transformative Power of 300”, on the initiative of the African Development Bank Group and the World Bank Group and in cooperation with the African Union.

The summit aims to strengthen the “Mission 300” initiative, and to provide energy to 300 million people in Africa by 2030, which contributes to overcoming the energy crisis that affects about 600 million African.

The summit included several sessions and workshops at the level of heads of state, regional and international banks, and international partners, to discuss the solutions necessary to achieve safe and reliable energy access.

On the sidelines of the summit, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan met in bilateral meetings, His Excellency Dr. Samia Soloho Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, His Excellency Dr. William Roto, President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency Paula Teenopo, President of the Republic of Nigeria, and His Excellency Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud , President of the Republic of Somalia.

The state’s participation comes as a reflection of its commitment to enhancing international cooperation and partnerships to achieve the sustainable development goals and expand the scope of energy access to the African continent.
