The Food and Drug Authority has launched a schedule of penalties for food poisoning incidents in accordance with the food system and its executive regulations, through the “reconnaissance” platform.
This is with the aim of setting the rules and protocols that the installations are obligated to follow when there are cases of food poisoning or suspicion, in agreement with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing.

It also aims to punish those who are not committed to these rules and protocols by issuing a schedule of food poisoning penalties.
The “Commission” explained that in the context of detecting the causes of diseases transmitted through food through microbiological and chemical tests, violations and fines on factories, warehouses, and distribution centers, which are maximum, have been identified by 24 thousand riyals in the event that it causes isolated one of the types of bacteria that cause symptoms The “food poisoning incident” patients, supplies, workers, raw foods or water.
The highest fine in the same matter is applied to sales outlets, restaurants, and general kitchens, at a maximum of 15,000 riyals for each affected.

The Authority punishes factories, warehouses, distribution centers, sales outlets, restaurants, and kitchens with a fine of 30,000 riyals in the event of separation and classification of toxins that cause food poisoning.
