Germany is looking to curb rising food prices

The German government is studying the repercussions of the rise in food prices against the backdrop of the Iran war, as the Vice-President of the parliamentary bloc of the Social Democratic Party, Ezra Limbacher, announced that the joint working group between the Christian Alliance and the Social Democratic Party will begin examining food costs, after it had recently focused on the sharp rise in fuel prices.

Limbacher said in statements to the German newspaper “Rheinische Post” published yesterday: “With the rise in fertilizer and transportation prices, there is a risk that food prices will also rise in the next stage,” noting that the working group will discuss “measures to reduce inflation” next week.
