Ukraine and Russia must make concessions to stop the ongoing war
US President Donald Trump’s envoy to Ukraine Kilog said that both Kiev and Moscow will have concessions to make any negotiations to find a solution to the ongoing war.
“I think the two sides will make a few concessions,” said the retired General Kelog, who returned from a visit to Ukraine in an interview with “Fox News”.
He added that Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski has already indicated that he would reduce his position, and that he would have to have Russian President Vladimir Putin to alleviate his positions as well.
Ukrainian losses exacerbate
Zelinski has repeatedly refused to make any concessions on the lands of Russia whose forces control a large part of southeastern Ukraine, but he faces pressure in light of the exacerbation of field and foggy losses about the possibility of US support.
Russia has sought to obtain assurances about Ukraine’s failure to join NATO.
During his election campaign, Trump pledged a quick end to the continuous war for 3 years, but he did not provide little details about how he intended to achieve this.
Bouti refuses to talk to Zelinski
Russian President Vladimir Putin reported last Tuesday that his country would hold peace talks with Ukraine, but he ruled out the talk directly with Zellinski, saying that he was “illegal” due to the end of his presidential term.
Elections have not been held in Ukraine since the outbreak of the war, while martial law was imposed, which is a matter of Kilogi that the Ukrainian constitution allowed it.
For his part, Zellinski said that Putin feared negotiations.
Tightening sanctions on Russia
Kelog told Fox News on Friday that Trump wants to complete the negotiations, adding: “I have great confidence that we are able to achieve something.”
When asked about the period that this might take, he replied: “It is a matter of months, but it will not be years.”
Trump has threatened since his assumption of power on January 20 to tighten sanctions against Russia, and indicated that Zelinski was ready to negotiate.
