"Reinforcement" A 6.2 billion dirhams contract to construct the first methanol factory

The factory project is an important achievement within the “strengthening” efforts to accelerate the implementation of its plans aimed at contributing to supporting economic diversification in the UAE through the development of valuable chains for chemicals locally; The production capacity of 1.8 million tons annually is the first methanol production facility in the country.

When operating in 2028, the factory will operate with electricity from clean energy sources, to be among the most efficient methanol factories in the use of energy in the world.

Meshaal Saud Al -Kindi, CEO of “Agaena”, said that the awarding of this contract is an important step that supports the company’s goal to contribute to supporting the growth of the industrial sector in the UAE by establishing a global integrated system of chemicals in the Al Dhafra region.

This project will contribute to the consolidation of the leading state’s position in the production of chemicals in a sustainable manner, and supports the role of “strengthening” in achieving the ambition of ADNOC to lead this vital sector globally.

For his part, Hong Namocong, CEO of Samsung E and A, said that taking the task of establishing the factory highlights the company’s commitment and “enhancing” contributing to pushing the innovation in the industry and economic diversification sector in the UAE, and supporting sustainable development efforts.

This project emphasizes the importance of cooperation in developing global -level facilities that contribute to consolidating the position of the UAE as a global center for advanced and advanced production of methanol.

It is planned to produce “reinforcement” in the initial phase of the project 4.7 million tons annually of chemicals by 2028, including methanol, low -carbon ammonia, polyvinyl chloride, ethylene chloride, lymproil chloride, and caustic soda.

Many of these materials will be produced for the first time in the UAE, which supports the strategic goal of “strengthening” in developing and expanding the scope of the value chain for chemicals locally, and contributes to efforts to diversify the national economy through the industry sector.
