"M42" Global results are achieved by examining tuberculosis using an advanced artificial intelligence tool

Abu Dhabi, August 6 / WAM / M42, a leader in the field of health -backed health technology, artificial intelligence and genome, revealed the results of an expanded scientific study that is one of the largest globally in the field of tuberculosis examination using artificial intelligence, published in the prestigious scientific magazine “Digital Medicine” issued by Nature Partners.
The study was conducted in cooperation with the Capital Center for Health Examination of the M42 Group in Abu Dhabi, and included an analysis of more than a million X -rays of chest, which makes it one of the largest realistic clinical studies in the world to verify the effectiveness of artificial intelligence in health practices.
The research focuses on evaluating the performance of the advanced Airis-TB model, supported by artificial intelligence, specially designed to facilitate routine detection procedures for tuberculosis, allowing radiologists to focus their efforts on complex or critical cases.
The model achieved an exceptional performance by registering 98.5% on the scale of the area under the reception of the AUROC response, a statistical standard that reflects the model’s ability to distinguish between cases infected and not affected by the disease with high accuracy.
The results of the study confirmed the Airis-TB event in supporting the initial examinations and high efficiency in the classification of chest x-rays, which enhances its reliability as an accurate medical tool in early detection of tuberculosis. The percentage of the wrong negative results was 0% in all cases within the full database that was analyzed, which establishes the status of the model as a reliable and safe solution to automate the workflow in the routine examination of tuberculosis.
The Airis-TB model is a conclusive evidence of high efficiency and superior accuracy of artificial intelligence in medical applications, stressing that its use and the ease of its integration within health systems, especially in limited resources that suffer from severe shortage of radiologists.
He pointed out that this model represents an expanded advanced technical solution, which enhances the capabilities of medical teams, and directly causes the saving of lives within the areas that witness high rates of the spread of tuberculosis.
For her part, Dr. Laila Abdel-Rathi, CEO of the Capital Center for Health examination, confirmed that the results achieved by the Airis-TB model reflecting the fundamental shift in the role of artificial intelligence within the health system, as it is no longer just a supportive tool, but rather has become an active partner in clinical practices.
She explained that the automation of routine tests with high accuracy enables medical cadres to focus their efforts on complex and high -risk cases, in a way that contributes to raising the quality of diagnosis, improving patients ’results, and enhancing the efficiency of health infrastructure at the global level.
It is worth noting that this study underwent a strict review of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, which enhances its credibility and compliance with the highest clinical standards. It is also published in a prestigious international scientific journal evidence of the scientific and technical leadership of M42, and enhances the reputation of the United Arab Emirates as a global center for medical innovation and health technologies backed by artificial intelligence and huge data.
