The Netflix platform has officially announced the date of the show of the third season of the successful South Korean series “Squid Game”. The broadcast of the new season is scheduled to start on June 27, just 6 months after the offer of the second season, which reflects a quick pace compared to the long gap between the first and second seasons.
The production of the second season took 3 years and 3 months after the first offer for the first season in September 2021, the third season was filmed in conjunction with the second season, which helped reduce the waiting time for the international fans.
Details of the third season and the number of episodes
The third season consists of 7 episodes, and it is considered more suspense and excitement, while Netflix revealed a promotional poster and new photos that give viewers a glimpse of the new challenges that the hero of the series will face “Guy Hoon” (Lee Jong-Ji) and his mysterious opponent responsible for games (Lee Pyong- Hon), in addition to the emergence of more new characters in the deadly competition.

The director of the work, Huang Dong-Yuk, expressed his great enthusiasm for the next season in an official message issued by Netflix, saying: “I am very happy to see the seed that was planted by creating a squid game growing and leads until the end of this story. We will do our best to present another exciting trip to the viewers.”
The success of the second season
According to the Netflix profit report issued on January 21, the second season of the “Al -Houka Game” recorded more than 165.7 million views during the fourth quarter of last year. Netflix expects that the third season will be among the most watched seasons in its history for the original Netflix series.
