The Consultative Council and the Sharjah Chamber discuss strengthening the business environment in the emirate

Sharjah, February 3 / WAM / The Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah discussed during its meeting today at the headquarters of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ways to develop the economic sector and enhance the business environment in the emirate.
The meeting was attended by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rashid Abdullah bin Huwaiden, Chairman and members of the Committee, and a number of Chamber officials and the Consultative Council Secretariat.
The meeting dealt with the importance of diversifying investment opportunities, enhancing commercial cooperation to develop investment opportunities and emphasizing the importance of developing economic legislation that contribute to facilitating business practice and raising the efficiency of the local business environment to be more competitive at the regional and international levels, reflecting the leadership’s directives in enhancing the emirate’s position as an advanced economic and commercial center.
The meeting praised the role of the industrial zone in Sharjah and the free zones in enhancing productivity and opening new markets, with confirmation of the necessity of providing motivational benefits for investors that contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the emirate and enhancing its position as a major economic center in the region, as well as the importance of expanding between the public and private sectors to enhance innovation and adopt modern technologies in The various economic sectors are in line with the directions of the Emirate of Sharjah.
Abdullah Sultan Al -Owais affirmed the commitment of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to continue supporting initiatives that contribute to developing the business environment and enhancing the emirate’s position as a global economic destination, noting that the efforts made by the legislative and executive bodies will work to improve the investment climate and enhance the competitiveness of the various economic sectors.
Rashid Abdullah bin Huwaiden said that the meeting was an opportunity to discuss the challenges facing the various economic sectors and work to propose innovative solutions that contribute to facilitating procedures and enhancing economic competitiveness, pointing out that Sharjah has an advanced investment environment that supports entrepreneurship and provides qualitative opportunities for local and international investors, stressing that the committee is Continuing to follow up on vital economic files and coordinate with the concerned authorities to ensure the development of legislation and policies supporting economic growth.
