The displacement of all residents of Jenin camp, and UNRWA continues to work in Gaza and the West Bank

At the semi -weekly press conference of United Nations agencies in Geneva today, Tuesday, Juliet Touma, UNRWA’s director of communication and media, explained that the camp bombings in the camp by Israeli forces last Sunday led to the destruction or severely damaged 100 homes.

She emphasized that UNRWA remains in the West Bank and provides services, including health care and education. She added: “Schools and clinics remain open, including in occupied East Jerusalem, and services are provided to refugees in the West Bank.”.

She explained that the schools were reopened last Sunday, and that there was a presence in UNRWA schools by more than 80 and 85 percent. She added: “We are witnessing a steady increase in the number of patients visiting health centers in the West Bank. For example, in one of our clinics in East Jerusalem, we recorded more than 400 patients per day.”.

On the situation in Gaza, the UNRWA official said that no new aid has reached the Strip since last Thursday, due to the goal that was identified as part of the initial ceasefire and which was achieved, which is 4,200 trucks to enter the Strip.

س In order: “We still have hundreds of trucks outside Gaza in Egypt and Jordan. Our employees in the Gaza Strip continue to work with the maximum possible amount, including in northern Gaza.”.

It reported that the UNRWA teams distribute supplies, including food and other basic materials, as well as the health teams where the agency has more than 1,000 health workers, “They continue to provide primary health care services throughout the Gaza Strip.”.
