“Abu Dhabi Health” closes 5 health facilities and suspends their workers in preparation for referring them to the Public Prosecution

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi announced the closure of five health facilities in the emirate, and the arrest of their workers in preparation for referring them to the Public Prosecution after serious violations were detected during periodic monitoring and inspection operations.

Investigations revealed the issuance of sick leaves without an actual medical examination or without patients attending in exchange for sums of money, in addition to tampering with medical data, employing unlicensed practitioners, and violating approved licensing conditions.

The department confirmed that the decision to close and suspend licenses will continue until legal and disciplinary procedures are decided.
The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi stressed its continued intensification of supervision and inspection, and not to tolerate any practices that violate the regulations, in order to ensure the protection of community health and enhance the integrity of the health system.
