The occupation entity withdraws from the United Nations Human Rights Council

On Wednesday, the Israeli occupation entity’s foreign occupation was announced on Wednesday, the withdrawal from the United Nations Human Rights Council, in which it occupies an observer seat, the day after the United States made the same step.
“The United Nations Human Rights Council is traditionally fever, violating human rights by allowing them to hide from observation,” Saar said on its website.

The end of the United States membership

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to review the membership of the United States in several United Nations organizations, and among the decision stipulated, the United States withdrew from the United Nations Human Rights Council.

However, the United States is not currently a member of the Council, as its last 3 -year membership period ended at the beginning of the new year, which means that the official withdrawal is not possible.
Ultimately, Washington can decide not to participate in the activities of the council as an observer, and not to apply to join the future.

Membership of 47 countries

The Human Rights Council consists of 47 member states elected by a majority of votes in the United Nations General Assembly.
The period of membership of states will last for 3 years, and it is not entitled to recominate immediately after two consecutive periods.
