China expands its efforts to facilitate international trade by developing 57 smart port

BEIJING, on February 8 / WAM / The General Administration of Customs in China announced a remarkable progress in facilitating cross -border trade during the year 2024, as part of the country’s efforts to develop smart ports and enhance international trade services.

The China Central Channel quoted the administration that experimental projects were implemented to build smart ports in 57 ports distributed over 22 regions across China, with the aim of improving the efficiency of customs operations and facilitating the movement of goods.

She added that China introduced 55 new services within the “one window” for international trade, which contributed to simplifying procedures and enhancing the ease of completing commercial transactions across the border.
