May Sakawi, CEO of the Miko Enterprise Foundation, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Japan Commercial Exhibition, said that the remarkable growth in the numbers of participants in the second edition of the exhibition translates the importance of the Emirati market for Japanese companies and its aspiration to expand its business in the region from the Dubai Gate.

She pointed out that, according to the official data issued at the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics in the UAE, Japan ranked ninth among the list of the largest commercial partners of the Emirates in the first nine months of 2024, with a total of 45.4 billion dirhams, while Japan ranked fifth the largest non -oil import market for the Emirates During the same period, which reflects the promising prospects for the acceleration of the growth of trade exchange between the two countries during the next stage.
In September of last year, the UAE and Japan announced the start of talks on a comprehensive economic partnership agreement, aimed at opening new horizons from the development partnership to support prosperity and economic growth of the two countries and their peoples.
The exhibition, which is the first comprehensive platform to display the innovations of Japanese companies to the business sector and investors in the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, provides the opportunity to explore commercial projects and communicate with the main players, industry leaders, buyers, retail dealers and decision makers in Japan, the UAE, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Middle East in Multiple industries.
