Trade between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia constitutes 19.7 % of the exchange between “cooperation” and Riyadh

The latest statistics related to the international trade of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia showed that the volume of trade exchange between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia during the third quarter of 2024 amounted to approximately 10.8 billion riyals, as the value of Saudi exports to Bahrain amounted to about 7.9 billion riyals, while its imports from Bahrain recorded approximately 2.9 billion riyals.

Trade between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, according to the International Trade Report for the third quarter of 2024, issued by the General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia, constituted 19.7% of the total volume of trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries during the same period, where the data showed that the total Saudi exports to the GCC countries Cooperation reached 38 billion and 380 million riyals, while Saudi Arabia’s imports from the GCC countries reached 16 billion and 433 million riyals.

The report revealed that the total Saudi non -oil exports to Bahrain amounted to 1.7 billion riyals during the third quarter of 2024, while Saudi Arabia’s imports from Bahrain amounted to 2.89 billion riyals in the same period, thus tending to the non -oil trade balance between the two kingdoms in favor of Bahrain by 1.18 billion riyals.

These figures reflect the continuous growth in the foreign trade sector between the countries of the Cooperation Council and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, driven by the promotion of trade relations and the expansion of the non -petroleum exports base.

Bahrain, the Emirates, India, the United States of America, Poland and Taiwan are among the most important countries importing Saudi products.

The report confirmed the increase in non -oil exports in the third quarter of 2024 by 16.8%compared to the same period in 2023, with the exception of the re -exported goods. Non -petroleum exports were also 7.6%.

On the other hand, commodity exports witnessed a decrease of 7.7% during the same period in 2023, while the value of re -exported goods increased by 48.4%. As for petroleum exports, it constituted 77.3% of the total exports, but it decreased compared to the third quarter of 2023, as its share decreased to 71.3% this year.

In terms of imports, it increased by 11.4% during the same period (the third quarter of 2024). The percentage of non -petroleum exports, including re -export, increased to imports, reaching 36.6% compared to 34.9% in the third quarter of 2023, driven by 16.8% non -petroleum exports and increasing imports by 11.4%.

The report revealed that China is the main destination for Saudi exports, as it acquired 15.2%of the total exports in the third quarter of 2024, followed by Japan by 9.3%, then South Korea by 9.2%.

The list of the most important countries importing Saudi products also included the UAE, India, the United States of America, Poland, Egypt, Bahrain and Taiwan, as these ten countries combined with 66.4% of the total Saudi exports.
