This is how it became the first Emirati space leader

UAE astronaut Nora Al -Matroushi narrated the details of her joining the Emirates Space Pioneers Program, during a speech within the activities of the Arab meeting of the young leaders, which was held during the preliminary day from the World Government Summit.
“When I was five years old, we were studying the planets and the teacher told us that she would take us on a journey to space and the separation was a salary that mimics the surface of the moon, and then I wore the equipment that I prepared a week before and I wished to be one day sitting exploring the surface of the moon.”
She added: “Nora, who was 5 years old, was not thinking that there was a program for the UAE to explore the surface of the moon or a program for Emirati astronauts, but I was concerned to have become an astronaut and went to the moon. And when I was 16 years old I was in high school and I loved to follow the documentary programs And on one day I saw a Russian missile launch trip to the International Space Station and the role of the mechanical engineer was clear as a member of the crew, so I decided to study mechanical engineering with my entry, because I aspired to work in the space field. “
She continued: “After I became 27 years old, I was able to achieve my goal after the Emirati astronauts program was presented and I became one of the members of the program.” The thing taught us to make decisions in dangerous environments, so we learned geology and how to take samples of rocks and where we take them until we simulate the moon and Mars environment. “
Al -Matroushi continued: “The second part of the exercises was on personal skills, and the astronauts should learn how to deal with each other and be leaders and these are all skills that the astronaut needs, and they are acquired skills that a person does not stand with their learning but continues to learn.”
She pointed out that among the exercises that have gone through are the survival exercises.
She said: “Some believe that astronauts are exceptional people, but in reality, after training, they become exceptional, so they always have to look at the new tasks they acquire.” “In the future, we go to Mars or other planets, and the astronaut must gain skills constantly and be ready for any opportunity that is available to him. The human being must always search for new sciences, the skills and opportunities that open the door for him towards more opportunities.”
