The Mauritanian Minister of Culture praises the efforts of the ruler of Sharjah cultural

The meeting came to mark the launch of the tenth session of the Nouakchott Festival for Arabic Poetry, which will be held for 3 days with the wide participation of the creators of poetry.

The Mauritanian Minister of Culture said I had the honor to meet His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah on my visit to Sharjah during the Sharjah International Book Fair in its last session and it was an opportunity to value and renew joint cultural cooperation in many cultural fields, especially in the field of manuscripts, indicating that the cultural aspect of manuscripts is consistent with a lot Between Mauritania and Sharjah, and that within one year the Mauritanian government has adopted many projects that are concerned with this great historical heritage, indicating that searching and excavating manuscripts at the Mahd Al -Murabitin site is due to starting again after nearly half a century stopped.

His Excellency Ould Amdo pointed out that the current Mauritanian government program carries a great ambition in the field of promoting cultural affairs, noting that Nouakchott is preparing at the present time to organize the first international book exhibition during this year, stressing that Sharjah embraces the largest institutions and bodies that support the cultural action in the Arab world and we must value this The great work is praising the achievement of the historical dictionary of the Arabic language, as this work has become available to all, and the Arab cultural heritage.

On the festival, Ould Amdu pointed out that it constitutes an important step in order to promote and promote poetic literary taste, which is part of an estimated effort by Sharjah to serve Arab culture.

For his part, Abdullah bin Muhammad Al -Owais expressed his happiness at the continuation of cultural cooperation between the Department of Culture and the Ministry, which started since 2012 by organizing the Sharjah Forum for Young Poets, which celebrated 20 young Mauritanian poets in the city of Nouakchott, stressing that the cooperation continued to establish the Poetry House in Nouakchott in the year 2015 through organizing The Sharjah Forum for Cultural Honoring, where the forum honored 12 writers, thinkers and literature Mauritania through 3 sessions from the forum. The Mauritanian Literature Festival was organized on the occasion of the celebration of Nouakchott, the capital of culture in the Islamic world in the year 2024, stressing that it is cooperation that constitutes a distinctive mark in the Arab cultural scene.
