A Hollywood actress reveals painful details from her childhood

International actress Anya Taylor-Joy revealed painful details from her student years in London, before her rise to fame in Hollywood, speaking about her exposure to bullying and difficulties in integrating during her childhood.

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter magazine, the 30-year-old actress explained that she suffered from isolation while studying at the private Queen’s Gate School in London, after moving from Buenos Aires to the British capital when she was six years old.

Anya said that she received harsh comments from some of her schoolmates about her appearance, noting that they told her that she was “not beautiful,” which increased her feeling of isolation and difficulty adapting.

Despite these difficult experiences, Anya Taylor-Joy was later able to make her way in the world of acting, becoming one of the most prominent Hollywood stars in recent years.

She is known for prominent works, including the series “The Queen’s Gambit” on Netflix, and films such as “The Witch,” “Split,” “Dune: Part Two,” and “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.”

Her artistic career began unexpectedly when she was discovered by a model in Harrods during her teenage years, before she later headed into the world of acting.

She is scheduled to appear soon in a new series called “Lucky” on the Apple TV+ platform.
