Developing national talents… 36 trainees at the acting and directing workshop in Riyadh

, an acting and directing workshop that was held in the city of Riyadh during the period from 7 to 18 June 2026 AD, with the participation of 36 trainees, male and female, as part of the program "From idea to stage" Aiming to develop the skills of practitioners and those interested carried out by the participants, through which they demonstrated the skills and knowledge they had acquired during the training period, in an experience that combined acting performance and directorial vision, and contributed to highlighting their abilities in building characters, managing the theatrical scene, and interacting with the various elements of the show.

Theatrical Performances

The training program for the workshop included specialized tracks in acting and theatrical direction, which included analyzing texts and building characters, managing actors, and developing the directorial vision, in addition to practical applications in physical and vocal performance. Improvisation, and teamwork.

The workshop also allowed participants to learn about a number of contemporary methodologies in making theatrical performances, which enhances their creative skills and contributes to preparing national cadres capable of developing professional theatrical projects.

National Competencies

The workshop comes within a series of specialized training programs implemented by the Theater and Performing Arts Authority within the framework of the Program "From idea to stage"which includes more than 30 training workshops covering the fields of: performance, writing, directing, theatrical design, and artistic management, with the aim of developing national competencies, supporting practitioners and improving the quality of theatrical production in the Kingdom.

The authority confirmed that the program will continue to provide its training workshops during the coming months through a group of specialized tracks that cover various aspects of the theater industry, which contributes to building qualified national cadres and enhancing the presence of performing arts in the Saudi cultural scene.
