He pointed out that «the UAE realized the importance of innovation as a basic pillar of progress and continues to give priority to creating more intelligent, safe and sustainable aircraft systems, by integrating artificial intelligence to improve air traffic management and experience travelers and developing techniques that reduce emissions.

He noted that the UAE launched, in cooperation with “ICAO” and the relevant authorities, specialized training programs, and provided scholarships, and established platforms aimed at providing the next generation of flying professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the challenges of the future, by building a global talent base.

Bin Touq stressed the importance of sustainability, which called on the UAE to launch the first version of the global sustainable aviation market, yesterday, a leading idea that was launched from the state to be a global platform that translates aspirations into actions, while seeking to become a periodic event under the umbrella of “ICAO” that enhances its role in support The organization’s efforts to remove carbon from the aviation sector.

He pointed out that the UAE has proven its commitment to this goal, by allocating significant investments in sustainable fuel research, cooperation with global renewable energy leaders, and the launch of leading initiatives in hydrogen -based aircraft, and airlines and airports in the country also set standards for carbon neutrality.

In addition, Bin Touq said – during the expanded ministerial session, which was held on the sidelines of the event – that “the aviation sector contributes between 12 and 13% of the state’s gross domestic product, and the country’s aviation sector contributes to providing millions of jobs, not only within the Emirates, but also At the global level, what shows the ability of the aviation sector to support the local economy in various countries, by supporting economic growth and increasing the number of jobs. And contributing to medical evacuation operations.
