In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE and Prime Minister and head of the Presidential Bureau, honored the winners of the Government Technology Award, and the International Award for Best Applications Government, within the work of the first day of the World Summit of Governments 2025, which started in Dubai today and continues until February 13, with the participation of leaders of countries, governments, decision -makers, experts, future advisers and entrepreneurs from different parts of the world.
The honor was attended by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Hakim Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized that stimulating technological innovation is an engine to make a better future for societies, and a driving force to enable them to participate actively in the future process, and a basic possible possibility for governments seeking to establish advanced work models that reflect positively on the quality of the life of their societies.
His Highness said that the World Government Summit represents an incubating and stimulating environment for every innovator of individuals, institutions and governments around the world, through its specialized awards, aimed at celebrating the most distinguished experiences in employing technology in enabling societies and enhancing governments’s readiness for the future.
His Highness honored the “Exo Hill” application team from the University of “Consterex” in Germany, which won the first place in the International Prize for Best Governmental Applications, and the project offers an innovative solution to rehabilitate patients with stroke and paralysis, through a smart application and a robotic jazz that works with artificial intelligence, speeds up treatment 50%, and depends on automated learning to customize treatment plans for each patient, with interactive treatment activities that motivate patients. It also allows doctors to follow up the progress of patients from remote and adjust treatments according to need, which makes it a revolutionary tool in nervous rehabilitation.
The second position of the award was won by the “Terra” project, which was moderated by the Politnik Thais Institute team in Senegal, and the project addresses the challenge of damage to agricultural products due to poor storage and slow distribution, by linking producers to consumers and warehouse managers. It provides through a digital platform an effective way to store and market crops, as farmers can save their crops, consumers to buy fresh products, and store managers from managing their stock. It also provides solar powered warehouses, which enhances storage efficiency and provides sustainable solutions.
As for the “Axis Way” project from the Maharaja Agrassen Institute of Technology in India, it won the third position of the award, and the project aims to revolutionize the transition solutions of more than a billion people with special needs in the world, using artificial intelligence technology for smart mobility, enhanced virtual reality, and maps drawing It facilitates access to places, and the application provides custom paths and easy to move. It also provides a three -dimensional virtual companion to guide users step by step, and determines the tracks of the wheelchairs. The project promotes social integration and supports the economy by encouraging companies to improve access, which may add 50 billion dollars annually to the local economy.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan honored the winners of the Government Technology Award, and won the category of best use of obstetric artificial intelligence in government services, virtual smart chat assistant (VICA) from Singapore, which is the artificial intelligence platform for the conversation of the Singapore government, which uses hybrid artificial intelligence, which combines Treating the natural language and obstetric artificial intelligence to achieve a balance between automation and accuracy to enable immediate and multi -language interaction, providing a quick and quick experience. It was adopted from more than 60 government agencies, and in 2024, more than a million inquiries, and is characterized by the possibility of expansion and integration with government systems, making it a global model for future government services.
In the category of the best government -axis service, the citizen services office project won from Brazil, and this program was launched in March 2024 to enhance digital inclusion, as it provides direct support to citizens, especially the elderly, people with special needs and residents in areas that lack connection to the Internet. The program offers free service points for more than 80,000 beneficiaries, including providing free internet, training individuals on digital skills, and personal assistance. The program achieved a percentage of solutions to 95%, and 50% of users reported that they became more able to deal with digital services.
As for the category of the best government service in the world, it won by “Sumi” the unified digital platform for government services in Finland, which enables customers to easily access government services such as taxes, licenses and social services. It integrates with the national digital identity system to ensure a safe and smooth interaction. The platform includes 4.3 million users, equivalent to 95% of adults in Finland, and in 2024 it recorded more than 200 million electronic definitions, in addition to sending approximately 20 million digital messages through the platform, which reflects a comprehensive transformation in digital government services.
The “Government Technology” award is supervised by the UAE Program for Distinguished Government Service, in the Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, and aims to stimulate innovation in developing government services through the involvement of creative students, researchers, government agencies, startups, and the private sector in creating solutions Technology that addresses societal challenges.
To celebrate the tenth edition of the award, the World Government Summit witnessed the honor of government agencies through the Government Technology Award, in addition to university students through the International Award for Best Governmental Applications.
The 2025 Government Technology Award celebrates innovation in developing exceptional government services experiences, through three main categories that include: the best government service supported by obstetric industrial intelligence, the best government service whose human axis and the best government service in the world.
As for the International Prize for Best Government Applications, it celebrates projects for university students that use technology to develop innovative solutions to facilitate life within their societies with the possibility of expanding the scope of those projects and benefiting from them on a global scale.
The nominations for the award were evaluated by an independent jury according to accurate standards, which included the level of innovation in terms of adopting new technologies to improve the efficiency of solutions, and the extent of their impact on addressing large -scale societal challenges, in addition to the readiness of the solution and its ability to expand and sustain It achieves a real and more applicable change.
