UAE challenge competitions for rescue teams deal with road and shock accidents "Troma"

Dubai, February 12 / WAM / The second day of the UAE challenge for the 2025 rescue teams witnessed in its third edition, the competition between the teams to deal with road accident scenarios and how to remove the injured by applying the best standards, global practices, and emergency response indicators in the rescue process.
The teams competed for the mechanism of dealing with road accident scenarios with their complex and standard types, in addition to the mechanism for dealing with emergency shock accidents known as “Troma”.
His Excellency Major General Abdullah Ali Al -Ghaithi, Assistant Commander -in -Chief for Operations Affairs of Dubai Police, witnessed the second day competitions, in the presence of His Excellency Major General Rashid Khalifa bin Darwish Al Falasi, Director of the Agency Transport and Salvation Department, and Colonel Khaled Al Hammadi, Director of the Research and Rescue Department, Director General of Challenge, a number of officers, and teams Participation.
Major General Al -Ghaithi stressed that the UAE challenge the rescue teams organized by the Dubai Police in cooperation with the World Rescue Organization “WRO”, aims to enhance the exchange of experiences between the participating teams in a competitive framework in an important field of work that plays a fundamental role in saving people’s lives through the speed of response, and better application Practices in the process of dealing with emergency accidents.
He praised the competing teams and its commitment to security and safety measures, the high level that it showed during the competition between them, indicating that the challenge contributes to showing skills for the teams, and the level of readiness to deal with all types of emergency accidents.
The UAE challenge competitions for rescue teams aim to see best practices and efforts in the field of rescue, exchange experiences, and raise the efficiency of teams at the level of individual and collective performance of rescue workers.
On the other hand, the leaders and members of the teams participating in the UAE challenge to the rescue teams 2025 expressed their admiration for the level of organization and competitions, and the world of the challenge that brings together 15 teams, including 11 from within the country, and 3 countries participating from abroad, which are France, the Netherlands, and Croatia, and they compete for 3 days Successful in the city’s training city field in Dubai, to win the title of challenge within realistic scenarios that test their skills in the rescue process from car accidents and their ability to perform and work under pressure.
Paul Schroeder, head of the World Rescue Organization, praised the wonderful level that the challenge appeared, which confirms the craftsmanship of Dubai Police in organizing such activities that polish the skills of the competing teams in it, and makes them ready for all emergency conditions and challenges in the future.
Major General Abdullah Ali Al -Ghaithi, Assistant Commander in Chief for Operations Affairs, said that the UAE challenge for rescue teams is of great importance, as foreign countries such as France, the Netherlands, and Croatia participate in it, which gives local teams an opportunity to gain experiences and transfer knowledge in the field of rescue.
Major General Al -Ghaithi added that the challenge achieves the strategic goal of transferring knowledge between all the participants to be ready in the event of any emergency circumstance, thanking the committee organizing the UAE challenge to the rescue teams, and wishing success to all.
In turn, Benu Vino, from the French Salvation Team, thanked the Dubai Police General Command for inviting them to participate in the UAE challenge for rescue teams, indicating that the challenge is an opportunity to exchange experiences, especially in the complex rescue operations of car accidents that require skill and experience in dealing with the accident and speed in saving The injured in it.
Lt. Col. Hamad Al -Kaabi from the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority said that the authority participates in three field teams specialized in rescue operations in cars, indicating that what distinguishes the challenge is integration, coordination and competition between the teams, in addition to exchanging experiences and transferring knowledge between them.
Fahd Mohamed Bourbaa, director of strategic partners in the national ambulance, said that the national ambulance is participating for the third year in a row in the UAE challenge for rescue teams, and participation includes 5 specialized teams. Fahd Bourbaa explained that the unique in this challenge is the process of integration between the rescue teams and the ambulance teams, which is in the interest of rescuing the injured in the accidents.
Fahd Bourbaa thanked the Dubai Police General Command for organizing the UAE challenge to the rescue teams that would achieve the desired goals by exchanging experiences between the participating teams.
As for the first assistant Khaled Ibrahim Al -Matroushi, from the General Command of Civil Defense, he said that the challenge is very important because of its scenarios that simulate real rescue operations, which enhances learning and gaining skills among team members.
The head of the Croatian team said: This is the first time that we participated in this challenge in the Middle East and the Emirates. The participating teams are highly efficient, and they are qualified to deal with accidents in all circumstances.
