A new record for “Dubai South” in the private aviation movement during 2024

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Aviation Project in Dubai South continued to record a significant growth in the private aviation movement in 2024, bringing the number of flights to 17,891 flights, an increase of 7% compared to 2023, which makes it the highest activity ever in the history of Dubai Aviation.

December 2024 witnessed 2,600 trips, an increase of 51% on an annual basis.

This growth is attributed to the global position that Dubai has as a major center for exhibitions, events and commercial and recreational activities, in addition to its prominent role in the tourism sector, as the emirate received 18.72 million international visitors during the year 2024, which supports its growing attractiveness.

“This achievement reflects the position of Al Maktoum International Airport as the most crowded airports in the private aviation movement in the Middle East. We are pleased to witness this sustainable annual growth in the air traffic, which is consistent with The achievements achieved in 2024, where we signed many agreements with major international companies in the aviation sector to expand their presence in the region, and we also opened several modern facilities, to continue our commitment to support the vision of our wise leadership in making Dubai a global capital of aviation.

It is worth noting that the Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project provides international companies investment opportunities in the field of aviation, as it is a free zone for private airlines and industries associated with the aviation sector. The project is located within Dubai South, which has worked to develop it to be a center for various types of maintenance and a training destination.
