Gas reserves in Europe fall below 40%

Rome, February 7 / WAM / Gas reserves in Europe fell below 40% for the first time since the beginning of the winter, reaching 39.9%, equivalent to 455.45 terawatt-hours, compared to 604 terawatt-hours before.

Germany is the most affected, as its reserves fell to the level of 31.25% (78.47 terawatt-hours), while the situation in Italy is still relatively better, as its gas reserves reached the level of 56.19% (equivalent to…

Gas prices are still above 33 euros, an increase of 0.82% to 33.13 euros per megawatt-hour, with growing fears of a cold snap at the end of the month.
