Jazan Book Fair .. 350 various events enhance the Saudi cultural movement

The activities of the Jazan Book Fair 2025, organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, were concluded at the Prince Sultan Civilization Center, under the slogan “Jizan Read”, on a 7 -day knowledge journey.
The exhibition hosted more than 300 publishing houses and a local, Arab and international agency, distributed over a number of wings, to present an exceptional cultural experience for lovers of literature and knowledge, as the exhibition’s cultural program included more than 350 varied events.

The CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, Dr. Abdel -Latif Al -Walla, his thanks to the wise leadership – may God support it – for its support for the cultural movement in the Kingdom, noting the Jizan Book Fair, which is the first book exhibition in Saudi Arabia for this year 2025, after the great successes achieved in the three exhibitions (Riyadh, the city, Jeddah) that was held Last year.

He explained that Jazan’s hosting of this cultural event came within the authority’s efforts, to enhance the cultural movement in the Kingdom and achieve the targets of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, by spreading the values ​​of knowledge and creativity, and stimulating the local publishing industry, especially since this is the first version in the Jazan region, through which we sought to shed Highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region.
He pointed out that the authority is constantly keen to provide renewed annual copies of the book exhibitions that it organizes, in a way that keeps pace with the developments of the world of culture and the publishing industry, and is making unremitting efforts to develop and improve the experience of book exhibitions within the framework of the cultural and spatial nature of each region of the Kingdom.
This comes within the slogan of the “Saudi Reading” campaign, within the framework of the “Book Exhibitions in Saudi Arabia” initiative, one of the strategic initiatives launched by the authority, through which it works to expand the establishment of book exhibitions in the Kingdom, as cultural windows that combine the makers of literature, publishing and translation from local and international institutions and companies With readers and those interested.

The Director General of the General Administration of Publishing at the Authority M. Bassam Al -Bassam said that the exhibition witnessed a remarkable presence with distinctive numbers confirming the development of the cultural scene and the publishing industry in the Kingdom.
He pointed out that the exhibition represents a cultural window that included local and international literature and translation makers, presented to the readers and those interested in their latest literary literature and edition.
