Ramadan session entitled " Drama…the voice of the Emirati family" Yas Cultural Association

Abu Dhabi, March 18 / WAM / Yas Society for Culture, Arts and Theater organized a session within its Ramadan Majlis entitled “Drama… The Voice of the Emirati Family” in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, at the association’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The session was hosted by the distinguished artist Habib Ghuloum, the heritage expert Samiha Al Kaabi “Umm Salem”, the artist Amal Salem, and the artist Abdullah Nabil, and was moderated by the journalist and artist Abdullah bin Haider, in the presence of a number of members of the association and those interested in cultural and artistic affairs, with the aim of shedding light on television drama and its direct and positive impact on the Emirati family.
The session discussed the importance of Emirati drama and its role over the years in conveying meaningful societal messages and highlighting issues affecting the family and society, enabling it to leave a clear imprint in the public’s memory, in addition to its role in strengthening national identity and highlighting societal transformations.
The speakers stressed the necessity of producing artistic works that reflect family issues and societal values, and keep pace with contemporary developments without losing their basic message.
Abdullah Al Shehhi, President of the Association, stressed the importance of holding and continuing such sessions, noting that they reflect the Association’s commitment to supporting culture and the arts, enhance constructive dialogue between artists and society, and contribute to highlighting the effective role of drama in strengthening national identity.
