Dubai private schools do not exceed 5 hours in Ramadan

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai revealed that the hours of the school day in Dubai Private Schools during the holy month of Ramadan do not exceed 5 hours as a maximum during the days of the week, provided that school administrations are committed to the end of school hours at 12 noon at a maximum of Friday.

The authority told “Emirates Today”: “In order to enrich the teaching and learning experiences for students in a manner commensurate with the atmosphere of faith during the holy month, there are a number of guidelines and instructions that were recently approved that would control the rhythm of the educational process and enhance students’ cognitive experience during the days of fasting, Dubai private schools should exclude fasting students from participating in physical education classes.

The authority stressed the private schools in Dubai on the importance of taking into account the opinions of parents in the school about the dates of the beginning and end of the school day.

She said: “We congratulate our students and the educational community to approach the holy month of Ramadan. May God return it to everyone with good, Yemen and blessings, hoping that we will derive from its blessed days the highest good meanings and positive values from tireless and persistent work.”
